Attended CTD at Susquehanna University in Pennsylvania.   

Pre-Flight:  Montgomery, Georgia

Primary Flight:  Avon Park, Florida, PT-17,

Stearman Basic Flight:  Macon, Georgia, Vulti-Vibrater  

Advanced Flying School:  Napier Field, Alabama,

AT-6 First Fighter P40 at Napier, 

RTU at Harris Neck, Georgia Flying P-40’s advancing to P-51D’s at Sarasota, Florida

Flew to Karachi, India, then to Kunming, China. 

Assigned to 23^rd FTR Group at Luliang, then to 74^th FTR Squadron at Tushan,Liuchow, Hangchow,

Shanghai and home on the 1^st boat out of China.  The U.S.S. Alderman.  

Stayed in service for 23 years. 

Was in Korean War 1952 to 1953
