| Memories to share: | |
| Personal Comments: | I had lost my husband, Wes, after 42 years of marriage when
I met Harry. He had lost his wife 3 months before and had been married 47
years. He was a stranger to me but we soon became good friend. I worked part
time at Publix Bakery and Harry would come to buy hard rolls so I figured he
had a lot of company. One day he invited me to his house to eat chicken. I was hesitant, but my co-workers didn't let that matter, so I went. As I entered the kitchen, I noticed several bags of hard rolls on the counter. At that minute, I caught his eye and I knew he didn't really have a lot of company, so the attraction seemed to be me. As time progressed, he would take me to lunch and finally the "Love Bug" bit us both and we were married 1 1/2 years later and were very happy. Three years into the marriage, Harry began to show signs of Alzheimers. The disease progressed slowly at first and then required hospital and nursing care. He suffered pneumonia three times. The Lord took him May 6, 2003. "My Tiger" flew home and his wonderful memory will live in my heart forever. His Loving Wife, Trese |
